Diana and Sixto were one of those Disney-loving couples who knew there was no other place in the world they wanted to have their big day, The P.S. I Love You team of Bonny and Arianna were there to make sure all the details were perfect in every way!
Disney Weddings provides their couples with a coordinator for the big day, but with so many moving parts, there is a bevy of reasons to hire a personal coordinator as well. Having an extra coordinator on your team will make sure all the special touches you've planned will happen just how you envisioned they would. Diana had exactly that in mind when she made us a part of her team for their April wedding at Epcot, and we think you'll agree the results were spectacular!
One of the first things to know is that Disney's coordinators do not perform a ceremony rehearsal for the wedding party, so that was the very first part of the wedding weekend we helped Diana and Sixto with. The day before the wedding, we met everyone at their hotel and practiced what would happen during the ceremony, then provided notes on the couple's preferred lineup to Disney's coordinator for the next day.
On the wedding day, our team jumped into action at 4 A.M. to make sure that the hair and makeup for Diana and her bridal party were proceeding as planned. From there, Bonny and Arianna met Diana at her hotel so we could pick up the special decor items she had prepared for the big day.
This is another key point for Disney brides: you cannot store personal decor items inside the park the day before the wedding, and the Disney coordinator will not come out of the park to get those items. So if you don't have a personal coordinator on your team like Diana did, you or your wedding party will be responsible for getting those items into the park (which can be a very long walk!) and setup at the ceremony/reception locations.
Diana and Sixto had several items to go out, including their card box, guest book, escort favors for the guest table, and special favors for the guest table. But the most exciting item is what gives their ceremony photos that extra magical touch... bubble wands! Diana had purchased dozens of Little Mermaid bubble wands for each guest to use as they walked down the aisle after the ceremony, an environmentally-friendly alternative to other thrown items like rice.
These bubble wands did not come assembled, so our team leapt into action upon arriving to the ceremony location at the Italy Pavilion. While the Disney coordinator was getting the wedding party ready for the ceremony, we made sure all the wands were assembled, tested, and set upon each guest's seat, ready for the big moment when the vows were said and the new couple took their first steps of married life!
After the ceremony, Bonny and Arianna moved to The Living Seas attraction to begin setting up the couple's special decor for the reception. After putting out the favors and assisting the Disney team with last-minute setup, our team made sure the couple's gorgeous "Hidden Mickey" champagne flutes were filled and ready for the toasts that were to come!
Once the reception was underway, the P.S. I Love You team gathered up all the decor items that weren't being repurposed for the reception and transported them back to Diana and Sixto's hotel, making sure the couple and their wedding party had nothing left to think about but the magic all around them and enjoying the party all night long!
It was our great pleasure to see these two wonderful people begin their lives together, and we were honored to be a part of their wedding story! We wish them both all the happiness in the world, and we truly enjoyed working with this wonderful team who made their big day the stress-free celebration they deserved!
