Historic Dr. Phillips House | Orlando Wedding Venue Spotlight

Updated: Apr 17, 2022

Today we will spotlight one of our favorite venues to work with, Dr. Phillips House, formerly known as The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne!

The house was originally built in 1893 when Colonel Peckham commissioned it to be built as a wedding present for his daughter. That's 126 years of history in one place, and it's going stronger than ever today! Recently purchased by Chef Lo, owner of Millenia Catering, over half a million dollars has been spent on renovations to restore it to what you see today. The house can be enjoyed by couples who are looking for an intimate setting for their wedding, with classic touches throughout the property.

Grooms and their gentlemen can spend the time before the ceremony in the wine cellar, relaxing and sharing stories, while the bride and her attendants prepare in the iconic Turret Room. When it's time for the vows, the couple meets in front of a classic gazebo, or on an extended brick patio, with elegant bronze statues throughout. Once the union is official, the party retires inside the house, where your guests and decorative theme awaits for your reception! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces can be used for the reception as well, allowing for up to 250 guests to attend!

The on-site venue coordinator, Angie Vann, is truly one of the best in the business and has been at the property for more than 17 years. She will make sure that every concern is handled and every need is met with regards to the house. Leave the rest of the details to P.S. I Love You, and you will have the day of your dreams with not a care in the world, free to enjoy with your partner and guests!
